How knowledgeable are Americans about concussions?

A study was conducted by Harris Poll on behalf of UPMC, one of the leaders in concussion management and treatment, in April among over 2,000 U.S. adults, and the recently released results are very surprising. Despite most Americans (85 percent) saying they feel at least somewhat knowledgeable about concussions, this does not seem to be the case.

A study conducted by Harris Poll on behalf of UPMC revealed that more than half of U.S. adults cannot identify a single concussion sign or symptom, nor do they believe there is any treatment for the injury.
